Getting Started

Hi All! Well this is my first attempt at blogging so bear with me! I wanted to to this so that I can better communicate and get to stay closer with my family & friends. Paul & I just got back from spending a week with Kenny & Echo & yes Nolan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Although the flight in was pretty scary we had a really great time. Between thin crust pizza & the Harley museum, the children's museum and driving around to see all the beautiful architectural houses and buildings and eating brat's for the first time, the echo's of Nolan running around and calling PaPa, PaPa or Momma, Momma, (which are the nicknames he has chosen for Paul & I.) brings a smile to my face every time I think of it. We went to church on Sunday and although they had a water line break in the chapel and we held Sacrament meeting in the gym, the spirit was still certainly there. Kenny gave a really great talk which helped with that spirit. Echo is starting to look like she is having a baby. She is due May 9th. Her & Kenny & Nolan are having a baby sister. We really had a great time but it was hard saying our goodbye's. We flew home on Thursday night and got up Friday and went to the cabin. Jason & Alannah were already there and had it warmed up nicely. Alannah had made a big batch of yummy home made noodles and Jason was busy harassing her. Alannah & I tied Jason a quilt. Dad puttered around and Jason became the Zelda master. It was really a nice relaxing weekend. Our drive home took longer then normal. There was an accident at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon we had just came over the top of Billy's Mountain and came to a stop! We sat there for 2 1/2 hours not knowing what was going on, didn't have phone service and not a channel on the radio to give a little information on what had happened. Believe you me I tried every AM or FM station there was. We weren't sure if Jason & Alannah was in the waiting or if they had gotten through before the accident or if they were in the accident. It was a little tense. It eased up however when an occasional person got out of there car and went over the ridge to relieve themselves of all the drink they has consumed. We did finally make it home safe. Lance called, he and Heidi had gotten home from Arizona around six o'clock. They had been there since Saturday the 27th. Lance & Heidi are due to have a baby girl May 25th! And Beagsley is having a sister too! (Beagsley is our Granddog). Well the Holiday's are over and we go back to work tomorrow so I had better get some sleep.
